Snowy Valleys and Cootamundra-Gundagai councils yet to see demerger reports | The Daily Advertiser

Two of Wagga’s nearby councils are in the dark about whether or not the NSW government has been urged to support their demerger proposals. The NSW Local Government Boundaries Commission on Tuesday completed its reports on proposals to demerge Snowy Valleys and Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional councils. Cootamundra-Gundagai mayor Abb McAlister said he had not seen the report for his council. “We have just got to wait for what the minister says but we would love to see the report and I think they should put it out for the public,” he said “Don’t hide it no matter what the decision is, whether demerger or not, we should know the reasons why.” Snowy Valleys mayor James Hayes also said he had not seen the report. “It’s a bit…
