NSW premier announces major COVID restriction changes for gyms, wedding venues and cinemas

A range of restrictions are being eased in NSW, as the state records its 38th straight day of no local COVID cases.

From Friday, residents will be able to have 50 people in their homes, up from 30, and 30 people will be able to hit the dancefloor at weddings.

The 30 people dancing at weddings don’t need to be the same people – so everyone can now have a dance, just not at the same time.

The number of performers or singers allowed indoors will also increase to 30, up from five.
