🪵 LAST LOAD OF BURNT LOGS ARRIVES AT TUMBA MILL 🪵 Hyne Timber says the salvage and harvesting of burnt logs from the 2019/20 bushfires has greatly benefited the Tumbarumba community. Yesterday the company’s mill received its last load of burnt plantation pine – over the last 15 months it’s processed more than 1.6 million logs. Hyne Timber’s CEO, Jon Kleinschmidt, says nearly 76 linear metres of timber have gone into new homes and renovations in New South Wales and Victoria. He says workers are proud of what’s been achieved. “It’s about not only the industry but it’s also the community of Tumbarumba,” he said. “To make sure that we can run on full capacity and keep full employment and support the whole chain.
