A woman has come to the rescue after a six-year-old boy was stopped by a man in a black ute in Wagga’s suburbs at the weekend. Police were informed of the child approach on Monday, when it was reported the little boy was waved down by a stranger on Sunday afternoon. He was in the front yard of a Montgomery Street, Ashmont home around 2.40pm when a man driving a black ute waved to the boy before driving closer and stopping to talk to him, police said.
