Child approach in Ashmont leads to calls for finding black ute | The Daily Advertiser

A woman has come to the rescue after a six-year-old boy was stopped by a man in a black ute in Wagga’s suburbs at the weekend. Police were informed of the child approach on Monday, when it was reported the little boy was waved down by a stranger on Sunday afternoon. He was in the front yard of a Montgomery Street, Ashmont home around 2.40pm when a man driving a black ute waved to the boy before driving closer and stopping to talk to him, police said. In other news A woman known to the child noticed and yelled at the man, who then drove away.
