A man remains in a Melbourne hospital after allegedly being shot in the face with a sawn-off shotgun. Forensic police spent hours at a Holmwood Cross unit in Albury on Monday following the incident on Sunday morning. It’s alleged Joseph Dawson, 23, shot the 24-year-old victim at the property before fleeing the scene. Police and paramedics were called to the area about 5am on Sunday after being alerted to the incident. The victim could be heard crying out in pain near the front of his home before being treated by paramedics and taken to hospital.
